December 2014 Retreat – “Love : the Spirit’s Power”

This December our retreat is “Love – The Spirit’s Power”. What is the love of God? Certainly not the impersonal and vague word that is talked of in the new age media! God-love is the almighty power of God let loose in our lives. How do we connect with that love? How do we love those who would do us harm? What does this love look like in our daily lives? Are there boundaries to this love? We will be addressing these questions and much more in the retreat; it promises to be the most practical retreat we have had for a long time teaching you step by step how to live in this all-powerful love every day.
I am convinced that the greatest power in the universe is the love of God manifest and defined in the Lord Jesus. When that love is released into our lives through the Spirit we live the life that we were created to live – truly free and at rest from which we work his works in the circle of our world and beyond. Religion has taught us that life is a grim battling against sin and hopefully going to heaven when we die; the Gospel is that Christ has overcome sin and the world of darkness and has brought the beginnings of heaven into our lives now.
Our retreat in December is not only revealing this incredible news of God’s unique love but how we partake and participate in that love; how we release that love into our daily lives and into the lives of those around us. In such release our lives are never ordinary and boring but alive with the love that is the life of God. Living in this love as a fish lives in the sea is the way of wholeness and effective living.
The winter retreat could be the most significant event in this ministry of the last decades! You must be there and experience the fellowship of likeminded believers and the Presence of the Spirit among those of one mind and one accord.

Dear Partners,
You and I together are changing lives by the joy filled news of the love of God that we together send to the world in the power of the Spirit.
This fact has taken a hold of me these last days – the power of the Spirit that flows through those who are together and of one mind and heart. Your gifts are not simply a charitable contribution. Every dollar that you send is the giving of your life joined to the Holy Spirit and sent forth to the world. You and I, along with every other partner do more together than either of us could do alone in our wildest dreams. Be sure to listen to my message this month as it shows from Scripture the power of the Spirit in our union together sending forth the love of God.
We continue to receive testimony from the USA and around the world of the life change that is taking place as persons gather around their computer or podcast and listen to the webinars. The Cross
During one of our recent clean-up projects on the ranch, we discovered this beautiful cross that had been discarded. No one is sure where it came from or how it got here, but Andrew and Cindy knew just what to do with it. They cleaned and restored the wood and spent a hot summer day erecting the newly-polished cross along the main entrance to the ranch. Thanks to Cindy and Andrew for helping to make the property more beautiful!

We live in dark and desperate times! At the center of the Gospel and our experience of God in Christ is radical hope. This hope is totally unlike what the world calls hope; this hope is founded in God’s character and purpose. It is hope that is defined by the resurrection of Jesus from the dead and communicated to us through the Spirit. Without this hope we are alone with anxiety, despair and apathy – the energy of life has been sucked out of us.
It is time for us who are believers to remember who we are and declare the hope that belongs to us in Christ. Listen to my message to you this month and let hope arise within you.

For those of you making plans for the year, our Winter retreat is scheduled for December 5th-7th. The retreat that we held in the beginning of June was such a success and the accommodations so good that we will be using the same hotel – the Drury Inn – we do not have a title yet but you can register with Cindy to be sure of your place. All of our Retreats fill up very quickly so please make your plans as soon as possible.
The months of May and June have been a financial challenge to our faith. As we enter the summer months with the many activities and vacations we find that some partners forget their offering. Please do not forget this year! If the Spirit speaks to you to send extra be obedient to send what He tells you!
Our expectancy is of the Lord who supplies our needs through those like you who obey the Spirit’s promptings. We give praise to Him and thanks to you for the supply.

April & May 2014 – Partner Update
Dear Partners,
Through your gifts you and I together are proclaiming God’s love throughout the world.
God’s love is personal and focused on you! You are not one of the masses but known intimately by the Father; you are one with Christ and enjoy the same love of the Father that Jesus does. What an incredible salvation! In this love the Father has for you He listens to your every word delighting in you and answering you. I develop this in my message this month and I believe it will be a new insight into the love He has toward you.
I apologize for not sending out a message last month – I was confused and it was at the end of April that Nancy reminded me that I had not sent it out. This message covers both April and May.
We are busy getting ready for the summer retreat. We have filled every seat and have a waiting list. It promises to be one of the best retreats in many years. As I have been telling you the weekend covers the subject of God’s vision for your life, His thoughts toward you, and His purpose for you – we could even say God’s dream for your life. We will be covering how we discover and connect with those thoughts and flesh them out into life.
The teaching hours of the retreat will be released in the next weeks and I am confident that they will be life changing.

Both Nancy and I want to especially thank those of you who sent special gifts to cover Nancy’s medical expenses incurred in the breaking of her ankle/leg. March 2014 – Partner Update
Dear Partners,
This month I am sending the message not only to you but to everyone who has been touched by this ministry. I outline the way this ministry has been supported from the very beginning and how you are supporting it to this day. I am sharing it also with you so that you may be encouraged in what you do and also consider what the Spirit may be saying to you in relation to your present and future involvement with the ministry.
We all stand on the shoulders of the first ones who began to support this ministry in its infancy in the 1950’s – if they had not given then the ministry would not exist as it does today. You are not only giving to share this message with the world today but also with future generations who will thank God that you gave as they stand on your shoulders.
The potential of your giving united with the message proclaimed and taught is beyond our wildest imagination. We thank you for your faithful continued giving and your obedience to the Spirit; rejoice with us at the harvest of transformed lives that we already see!
We are repeating Module two April 24th-26th and I would remind you that this is open to all who have taken Module one whether in class at the ranch or by DVD. The few who paid and made it to Module two through the ice are welcome to come to this repeat of the class free of charge as of course all graduates are.

February 2014 – Partner Update
My message this month addresses those times in life when we feel that we are drained and burned out by life and many of you are facing such times and have faced them through the last months. The word of God has a specific answer for those days when people, circumstances and the evil one would seek to suck us dry of the sense of the life of God. The promise is that he gives us his own garment of praise that we wrap ourselves in and are lifted out of the draining darkness. May the Lord make this message a life changing source of power in your life.
The weather froze us out for Module two of the Bible school and over half the class was unable to come. We will be repeating the class the last weekend of April. Let me remind you that if you have completed Module one whether at the ranch or by video you are welcome to attend this module. It is a vital message that reminds us that the life that we have in Christ never stagnates but is always reaching forward into new fields of love and we are carried in the strength and power of that life-love.

December 2013 – Partner Update
Dear Friends and Partners,
First of all let me declare God’s richest blessing upon all of you in the days of this season of celebrating the birth of Jesus and coming into a new year of opportunity of discovering the love and goodness of the Lord!
We have just finished the annual retreat. The winter storm came across Texas the day before the retreat began and lasted through the weekend and so we had a great number of cancellations. For those that came we had a unique and wonderful time delving into the wonder of the victory of Jesus over the evil powers. We all left feeling strengthened and joyous in the Lord.
Our lives are built on words – words that we say and words that those who govern us say. The words of any human government will fail sooner or later but we build our lives not on the words of men but on the word of God that never fades or fails. It is for that reason we walk into the New Year with confidence because whatever the words that make up our economy and hope of the future may be our hope and confidence is in the word of God. This is the message that I want to give you as we prepare for 2014 that you will hear on our partner message.
This is our ministry for apart from each one of you and your monthly faithful giving there would be no ministry; I believe that you know that but I want to say it so that every time you hear of what we are doing in the lives of believers throughout the world you remember that it is our ministry and your gifts make it all possible. Especially at this time because these are times of great pressure and I know that for many of you your giving is an act of faith. There are countless numbers who thank God for you and your gifts. As we come to the holidays the giving would tend to drop and we ask you to remember us and listen to the Spirit!

November 2013 – Partner Update
May the blessing of the Lord be with you all as we enter into the holiday season! The retreat the first weekend of December is the highlight of the winter for us and I trust that many of you will be able to join us. The subject is simple, “Victory over Evil” and we will look into the real nature of what happened at the cross and resurrection and how that event totally changes how we look at and handle the events of the world in which we live. Evil is real but the living Lord Jesus holds the keys that unlock the fullness of salvation – and shares the use of them with us! Come and learn how we in the Name of Jesus overcome and triumph over evil.
The retreat begins December 6th at 7 p. m. continues all day Saturday and finishes Sunday morning December 8th.

In the next months I am writing a book that I have been writing for decades. I have spent the last fifty plus years meditating on the parable of the Prodigal and have preached on it almost every year. I am now putting fifty years of prayer, study and listening to the Spirit into print. As my mind is focused there I am sharing with you where my heart is at in the partner message this month and I trust it will bless you as this entire story does me.
