2024 Retreat Series Available Now!

AVAILABLE NOW ON MP3 and CD!

At long last, the audio recordings from our December 2024 Retreat in San Antonio, Texas – Meal of Mystery, Meal of Wonder – are now available on MP3 and CD. Get them today at Malcolm’s Online Store

Inspired by Malcolm’s book of the same name, this seminar expands on the book as an entire teaching in own right. Malcolm unravels the mysteries of the Eucharist and shows in detail how the scripture answers many of the lingering questions and misunderstandings we often have about how the Eucharist really works! What did Jesus really mean when he said this is MY body and blood? What happens when we partake of the bread and wine? In these hours of teaching, you will discover the wondrous power within this sacred act of remembrance.

1. This is My Body
2. Word Became Flesh
3. The Living Bread
4. The Fourth Cup (2 hours)
5. It Is Finished
6. The Necessary Meal

*This is not the audio book for Malcolm’s book Meal of Mystery, Meal of Wonder. (Hopefully that is coming soon!) This series, recorded at the December 2024 Unconditional Love Fellowship retreat, is more than 7 hours of content where Malcolm expands, explains and expounds on certain aspects of the book – but it is a life-changing teaching on its own.

Fall 2024 Partner Update

Fall 2024 Partner Update

Through your gifts you and I together are loving people to life.

Hello Partners!

Good day to everyone! This is our Partner Message for Fall 2024. First off, we apologize that it’s been so long since we’ve been in direct communication. This year has been a journey, and we thank you deeply for standing with us. Your faithfulness has been essential, and we’re so grateful for you all.

We have big news! My recent PET scan on September 23rd confirmed that I am 100 percent cancer-free! The day we found out, Cheryl could not wait any longer for the official report, so she called the doctor’s office, and asked for the results herself. Just as I was putting the period on the final sentence of the new book, Cheryl burst into my office with the news. It was a day of celebration! She was jumping and dancing, and we both thanked the Lord together. We can’t thank you enough for your prayers. This is truly God’s healing.

The new book Meal of Mystery, Meal of Wonder is available now on Amazon and at malcolmsmith.org – Malcolm’s Online Store.

This book has been a journey for both of us, and Cheryl and I call it our “Isaac” because it took both of us to bring it to life. It’s a reflection of my journey of understanding Holy Communion over many years, with all the questions and discoveries along the way. I realized I needed to write it for people just like me, with the same questions, and to let the answers come through as simply as possible. We trust it will bless you!

We’re also looking forward to the December Retreat in San Antonio, which will take place from December 6th- 8th. This retreat ties directly into my recent study for the book, diving even deeper into the teachings of Holy Communion. Each session will build on the last, and every day we’ll take Communion together to experience its meaning in our lives. The retreat is currently full, but we have a waitlist for any last-minute openings, so feel free to call the office to be added. Find full details for the retreat and register online at unconditionallovefellowship.com or by calling the ministry office at 830-460-4000.

My message to you this month centers on remembering the deep mystery and wonder of Christ’s presence in our lives. Holy Communion reminds us that God has come close, choosing to dwell with us and within us. This sacred meal is more than a symbol; it is a true participation in the life and love of Christ, strengthening us from within. May this understanding encourage you daily.

Thank you again for sticking with us. This year, we’re grateful for our spiritual sons Andrew, Clint, and Marshall, who stepped in to lead Sunday services when I couldn’t. We thank the Lord for them and the way they bring their own voices to this work. We’re also thankful to be back in regular ministry with you.

As we look toward the holiday season, we’re reminded of God’s goodness and faithfulness. Cheryl and I are looking forward to connecting with many of you at the retreat and will be back with another update soon. Until then, may you experience His peace and presence every day.

You are blessed in Christ Jesus,
Malcolm and Cheryl Smith

Communion Service 9/29/2024 with Malcolm Smith

Communion Service 9/29/2024 with Malcolm Smith

Communion service from September 29, 2024 with Malcolm Smith, conducted during Sunday service at Unconditional Love Fellowhsip.

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE FELLOWSHIP EUCHARIST SERVICE

CELEBRANT: The Lord be with you.
PEOPLE: “AND ALSO WITH YOU”

CELEBRANT: Lift up your hearts.
PEOPLE: “WE LIFT THEM TO THE LORD”

CELEBRANT: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
PEOPLE: “IT IS RIGHT TO GIVE HIM THANKS AND PRAISE”

It is truly right to glorify You, Father, and to give You thanks. For You are face to face with the Son in the
Spirit, Eternal Life, dwelling together in the divine dance of holy unity, from before time and forever.
Fountain of Life, source of all goodness, You made all things in the Son, and in Him all things hold
together and are filled with Your blessing. You created them to rejoice in the splendor and brilliance of
Your kind intention. Countless throngs of angels stand before You to serve You night and day, joining with
them, as a Kingdom of Priests, representing and giving voice on behalf of all creation, we acclaim You
and glorify Your name as we say:

CELEBRANT AND PEOPLE: “TO HIM WHO SITS ON THE THRONE AND TO THE LAMB BE
BLESSING AND HONOR AND GLORY AND DOMINION FOREVER AND EVER. AMEN.”

We acclaim You Holy Lord, The Three in One, glorious in love. Your goodness and kindness reveal that
You are endlessly and unalterably for us. You formed us in Your own image, giving the whole world into
our care, so that in fellowship with You, our Father, we might rule and serve all Your creatures.

When we were plunged into the darkness of the lie, believing that You were not for us, too holy to look at
us, You contradicted the lie, never turning from us, and took sides with us against the accuser, promising
the crushing of his head by the woman’s seed. In Your wrath, the passionate NO! of Your love that
refused our abandonment and destruction, You came into our darkness to seek us until You found us.

Father, You loved the world so much that in the fullness of time, You sent Your only Son, to be our
Savior; not to save us from You, but to take us to You. Incarnate by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin
Mary, He lived as one of us yet without sin. To the poor He proclaimed the Good News of Salvation, to
prisoners, freedom, and to the sorrowful, joy. And to fulfill Your purpose, He gave Himself up to death,
and rising from the grave destroyed death, taking with Him the keys to hell and the grave, raising
humanity to be seated in heavenly places, making the whole creation new.

And exposing the lie that we were unworthy servants under the gaze of Your disapproval, You sent the
promised Holy Spirit, the Blessing of Abraham, the very Spirit of Adoption, who continually intercedes for
us, convincing us that we truly are Your beloved children, by whom we cry “Abba, Daddy”.

When the hour came for Him to be glorified by You, His heavenly Father, having loved His own who were
in the world, He loved them to the end.

At supper with them He took bread. And when He had given thanks to You, He broke it, and gave it to
His disciples and said “Take eat, this is My body, which is given for you. Do this for the remembrance of
Me.”

After supper He took the cup of wine, And when He had given thanks to You, He gave it to them and
said, “Drink this, all of you, this is My blood of the New Covenant, which is shed for you and for many, for
the undoing of sin, whenever you drink it, do this for the remembrance of Me.”
Father, we now celebrate this memorial of our redemption. Recalling Christ’s death and descent among
the dead. Proclaiming His resurrection and ascension to your right hand, and announcing our sharing in
glory: We in Him, He in us, and together in You. And offering to You the gifts You have given us, this
Bread and this Cup, we praise You and we bless You:

CELEBRANT AND PEOPLE: “WE PRAISE YOU, WE BLESS YOU, WE GIVE THANKS TO YOU,
AND WE PRAY TO YOU LORD OUR GOD”

Lord, we thank You that Your Holy Spirit brings all things to our remembrance and reveals that we are
partakers of Your divine nature. We ask that you now sanctify these gifts showing them to be holy gifts
for Your holy people. The Bread of Life, the Cup of our Salvation. The Body and Blood of Your Son,
Jesus Christ.

Grant that all who share this bread and this cup, may become one body and one spirit, a living sacrifice
in Christ, to the praise of Your Name.
Remember, Lord, Your One, Holy, Universal and Apostolic Church, redeemed by the Blood of Christ.
Reveal our unity, guard our faith and preserve us in Your peace.

And grant that we may find our inheritance with patriarchs, prophets, apostles, and martyrs and all Saints
who have found favor with You in all times and places. We praise You in union with them and give You
glory through Your Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

CELEBRANT AND PEOPLE: “THROUGH CHRIST AND WITH CHRIST AND IN CHRIST ALL HONOR
AND GLORY ARE YOURS, ALMIGHTY GOD AND FATHER, IN THE UNITY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT,
FOREVER AND EVER, AMEN.”

THE LORD’S PRAYER

CELEBRANT: Hallelujah! Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us.

CELEBRANT AND PEOPLE: THEREFORE, LET US KEEP THE FEAST! HALLELUJAH!

CELEBRANT: The Gifts of God for the people of God. Take them in remembrance that Christ died for
you by dying as you and feed on Him, this His resurrected, ascended, glorified, death-destroying body,
and do so in your hearts with thanksgiving!

(The Bread and the Cup are given to the communicants with these words)

CELEBRANT: The Body of Christ, the Bread of Heaven. PEOPLE: “AMEN”

CELEBRANT: The Blood of Christ, the Cup of your Salvation. PEOPLE: “AMEN”

CELEBRANT AND PEOPLE: FATHER, ALMIGHTY AND EVER-LIVING GOD, WE THANK YOU FOR
FEEDING US WITH THE SPIRITUAL FOOD OF THE MOST PRECIOUS BODY AND BLOOD OF
YOUR SON, OUR SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST. AND FOR ASSURING US IN THESE HOLY MYSTERIES
THAT WE ARE LIVING MEMBERS OF THE BODY OF YOUR SON AND HEIRS OF YOUR ETERNAL
KINGDOM. AND NOW FATHER, SEND US OUT, TO DO THE WORK YOU HAVE GIVEN US TO DO,
TO LOVE AND SERVE YOU AS FAITHFUL WITNESSES OF CHRIST OUR LORD. TO HIM, TO YOU
AND TO THE HOLY SPIRIT BE HONOR AND GLORY, NOW AND FOREVER, AMEN.

Summer 2024 – Partner Update

Summer 2024 – Partner Update

Through your gifts you and I together are loving people to life.

Hello Partners!

Good day! As we transition from spring to summer, we want to share updates and plans for the remainder of the year. Cheryl and I are excited to bring you some wonderful news and upcoming events that we believe will be significant for all of us.

HEALTH UPDATE

First and foremost, we have fantastic news regarding Malcolm’s health. His most recent PET scan, conducted a couple of weeks ago, showed even more shrinkage of the cancer. The oncologist has confirmed that Malcolm is now more than 95 percent cancer-free. Hallelujah! Malcolm has been incredibly busy with his writing, and we’ve had our plates full, but this good news energizes us.

DECEMBER RETREAT

We are thrilled to announce our Winter Retreat, scheduled for December 6th, 7th, and 8th at the DoubleTree in San Antonio. This year’s theme is “Meal of Mystery, Meal of Wonder” which ties into the new book Malcolm is writing about the Holy Communion. Many people have expressed interest in understanding the significance and practices surrounding the Holy Communion, and this retreat will delve deeply into this sacred ritual.

The retreat will feature comprehensive teaching sessions on the Eucharist, starting from Friday through to Sunday morning. Each evening and on Sunday morning, we will celebrate the Eucharist together, aiming for a deeper experiential understanding of its significance. This will be more than just a learning experience; it will be a time to live and feel the teachings as they are presented.

Find full details for the retreat and register online at unconditionallovefellowship.com/2024-retreat/, or register by phone by calling the ministry office at 830-460-4000.

NEW BOOK

The upcoming book, Meal of Mystery, Meal of Wonder explores the profound mystery and significance of the Eucharist, uncovering layers of meaning that have long been misunderstood or overlooked. It promises to be an enlightening read, bringing the practices and teachings of the early church to life. The book is expected to be published in the fall, and those attending the retreat will be the first to have the opportunity to purchase it.

My message to you this month is from the first letter of John, in chapter 4:7-21. This passage reminds us that love originates from God, and our ability to love comes from His initial love for us. This divine love is not something we earn or initiate but is His nature which we receive and respond to. It’s a love that is not based on our actions but purely on His grace and initiative. This understanding frees us from the struggle of trying to earn God’s love and allows us to rest in the assurance that we are already loved unconditionally. As we continue through the summer, let us keep this realization in our hearts and carry it with us in our daily lives.

Cheryl and I look forward to seeing many of you this December at the retreat and sharing some time together. We thank you for your continued support and generosity. Your gifts and giving are essential in helping us share this message and continue our ministry. It is through your contributions that we are able to reach more people and bring the love of God to those who need it most. We will be back soon with another update.

You are blessed in Christ Jesus,
Malcolm and Cheryl Smith

THE BLESSING
