June 2017 – Partner Update
Dear Partners,
Through your gifts you and I together are loving people to life.
This month my message is very important and very challenging to those who are walking in this life of grace and partaking of the love of God. It deals with attitude to life that is the difference between living in joy of the Lord or the hopeless despair of the flesh. I believe that it will be a blessing to all of you.
Let me remind you of the retreat coming up in December, the subject is You are More Powerful than You Think and at its core deals with prayer in a way that I am sure you have never heard before. I have spent years researching what prayer really is and this retreat will take you to a boldness in prayer that is in line with the message of the love of God and union with Christ. Have you noticed that so much that is said about prayer is legalistic religion! Books on prayer usually make us feel guilt rather than bring us to the exhilarating freedom that is in Christ; much that we hear is trying to explain why God is not going to answer prayer or the impossible task of knowing His will!
This retreat will take you into a liberty in prayer that will take your breath away. Plan to be with us at the Inn of the Hills in Kerrville TX the second weekend of December.
The summer months are full of vacations and outdoor activity – be open to the Holy Spirit if He urges you to send extra gifts!
As we repeatedly say, your giving is not merely dollars to support an organization. Every dollar that you send is the love of God clothed in finances and wrapped in prayer – the gift of your life joined to the Holy Spirit and sent forth to world. You and I, along with every other partner do more together than either of us could do alone in our wildest dreams. In your monthly giving you are part of my voice carrying God’s love in Christ in the power of the Spirit to the world.
