My message this month addresses the fact that in all of the challenges, opportunities and trials of life the Lord is limitlessly with us – not merely alongside us but with our deepest selves, with us in our emotions and feelings as life happens to us. He is with us not merely to know what is happening but to make our challenge His and to unite us with His strength and wisdom. You do not need me to tell you that we are living in desperate days with the potential of greater trials to come. Hear the word of the Lord to you this day that whatever the present or future hold He has committed Himself to you and is and will be your hidden source of strength and wisdom.
We had four days earlier this month when our air conditioner at the office crashed. It was after the rains when the sun returned and the air was super humid and temperatures soaring to South Texas July heat. Thank you to those who heard about this via Face book and sent love gifts.
The days are flying by and although it is mid-summer we are filling up the December retreat and I am already preparing and praying for all who will be coming. It promises to be a weekend of being in the presence of the Lord never to be forgotten. The location is the Drury Inn in San Antonio with easy access to the airport; the date is the first weekend of December beginning Friday night the 4th and concluding on Sunday morning the 6th. Plan to be there! Book early to secure your place. You can book through our office or at www.unclov.org now. The title is “More than Conquerors”which practically shows how we live a life beyond merely overcoming! This retreat deals with the warfare that we as believers go through every day and practical teaching on how we are continually more than conquerors. This is not about aggressively confronting Satan but a completely different approach! Spiritual warfare by resting! It isa retreat on spiritual warfare as I have never taught it before and I am certain you have never heard it before – and desperately needed in these days.

Dear Partners,

I write to you this month with a heart filled with praise to the Lord for His protection during these last weeks of flooding and destruction here in Texas. To give you an idea of what we have been through – all of our creeks that have been dry for years are full and a local lake (a big one with a large community around it) has been dust and dried mud for the last four years in three days rose 27 feet and is suddenly a lake again!
Our damage is minimal compared with the wreckage and loss of life that has been experienced literally all around us. We have damaged roofs on three of the buildings, trees that had to be cut before the storm turned them into ballistic missiles, air conditioner unit and debris and silt in the well and flooding in the laundry room in our house. Considering the floods, incessant rain, nearly 100 mile and hour winds and living under tornado warnings for the last three to four weeks I say again that the damage is next to nothing. The sun has returned in the last few hours and we are still assessing the damage but it looks like we have found everything that will have to be repaired. Any financial help that the Spirit lays upon you will be readily used.
My message this month addresses the fear that we confront in days of terror such as some of our neighbors have in the last days. Although it speaks to the days when real fear lays hold on us it is a message that every person needs to hear to learn to live in perfect peace in every day.
We welcome our new partners who have joined us after becoming one with this message of God’s limitless love and ministry through the weekly web broadcasts. We thank God for the multitudes who connect with us around the world in every hour of the day. I invite you to join me on a journey into the amazing story that Jesus told of the father and his two sons.The general outline of the story is well known, but seeing its movements through the eyes of the first hearers, listening through the customs of that people, and hearing it as they heard it opens up new horizons that can be missed if we read it through our Western eyes.
It becomes quickly obvious that this is not a soft sentimental mushy story of a loser coming home. Jesus is revealing the God-who-is-love in stark contrast to the false god of accusation and judgement who is exposed and dismantled in this story. The parable constitutes the war cry of the Prince of Peace! Jesus is throwing down the gauntlet to the religious leaders and their teaching that held the populace in fear and bondage. It is a story that will set every human free.

This is the Gospel 101 – you are one with Christ in your present situation and His strength is revealed in and through each one of you. This strength is not something that we have to beg and plead for but streams from Him out from His great love for you and is ours to receive with thanksgiving and joy. I believe this message has potential to bring great peace and joy to many of you.

Dear Partners,
Through your gifts you and I together are loving people to life.
Forgive me for not communicating with you last month but we have been through a time of great pressure and much opportunity for His grace.
Cindy who most of you know as the one who ran our office, answered the phone and filled your orders left us suddenly in the first week of January. We have a very small staff and this put pressure on everyone to fill the void. A few days after Cindy leaving in one day everyone on staff had a major sickness in their immediate family that demanded that they are with their loved one; the nature of the sickness would put them out of commission for a prolonged period of time. Nancy and I were in the first stages of moving back to Bandera and were not prepared for the running of the entire office to fall on Nancy’s shoulders. We have not finished the move and presently live between two houses. Nancy runs the office (which includes all of the book keeping) and makes all the CD’s and fills your orders while I fill in running errands and helping with the making of orders where I can. We can report that the medical emergencies are progressing well as we have all prayed our way through their surgeries. John joins us now in the office in the last days. We discovered the 50% of our machines in the office needed replacing which has further held us up and been an added expense. So please forgive us for any orders being late or communication not being as they should have been! Pray for continued grace to handle the situation and when you call the office please leave a message on the phone rather than hanging up – we will get your message and get back to you.
In this we have learned at a very deep level the absolute truth of this message of God’s present strong love. Some defined this as an attack of the enemy – which indeed it is but we have realized that spiritual warfare is not in screaming at the devil but living in the abundance of the grace that the Spirit gives in the moment to the utter frustration and defeat of the enemies plan. I can report that the office at this time hears more laughter of joy and is awash with His peace than I have known in years. Remember this as you listen to the webinars that I am presently teaching on “Radical Grace”.
In the midst of this the grace of the Lord has been abundant upholding and empowering us to walk in peace and His joy. Thank you for your continued giving and for those who undoubtedly led by the Spirit gave special gifts.

In the days in which we live it is imperative that we know who we truly are in Christ. In my message this month I have shown the enormous power that is released in our life when we know the nature of the life within us – the same life that came out of the tomb on resurrection morning! The statements of Scripture regarding not only who Jesus is but also who we are in him are not imaginary, not untried ideas and concepts but the absolute truth and reality. It is the final truth that we are in the world but not of it – we are living in and living from Christ through the Spirit. I trust that this message will transform the way you live your daily life.
We continue to focus on the retreat the first weekend of December. The message of the gospel is that the almighty love of God can be released into our homes and workplaces, into our relationships through the Spirit. We are the channels through which his love flows into our world. This is the practical part of the retreat as we learn howthat takes place.
I am convinced that the greatest power in the universe is the love of God manifest and defined in the Lord Jesus. When that love is released into our lives through the Spirit we live the life that we were created to live – truly free and at rest from which we work his works in the circle of our world and beyond. We must learn how to partake and participate in that love; how we release that love into our daily lives and into the lives of those around us. In such release our lives are never ordinary and boring but astonishing!

Dear partners,

Our focus in these days is on the winter retreat that is fast approaching. I am convinced that the greatest power in the universe is the love of God manifest and defined in the Lord Jesus. When that love is released into our lives through the Spirit we live the life that we were created to live – truly free and at rest from which we work his works in the circle of our world and beyond. Religion has taught us that life is a grim battling against sin and hopefully going to heaven when we die; the Gospel is that Christ has overcome sin and the world of darkness and has brought the beginnings of heaven into our lives now.
Our retreat in December is not only revealing this incredible news of God’s unique love but how we partake and participate in that love; how we release that love into our daily lives and into the lives of those around us. In such release our lives are never ordinary and boring but alive with the love that is the life of God. Living in this love as a fish lives in the sea is the way of wholeness and effective living.

My message to you this month highlights that central fact of the Gospel that Jesus came to bring us to the Father, to live in the family of love. You are the sons and daughters of the God who is love and his love is poured out in your hearts. This is your identity! We are trapped all too often in the misconceptions passed to us from our ancestors, the ignorance of the world system and the lies of the enemy that we are sinful failures in life. In your union with Christ you live in the truth that sets you free – the truth that you are the beloved of Abba and the center through whom his love flows into your little universe.
This is what this ministry is all about. You and I together are changing lives by the joy filled news of the love of God that you and I together send to the world in the power of the Spirit.
