January 2018 – Partner Update

May you have a New Year in the blessing of God empowered by the Holy Spirit!
First of all let me say that we had a marvelous retreat in Kerrville in which many testified to life changing moments – by which I mean not just a blessing in being there but a work of God in their lives that has already brought about a total and radical lifestyle change. We give thanks to the Lord! The CD’s of the retreat are now ready for purchase and you can place your order for ‘You Are More Powerful Than You Think’ today.
I am sharing with you this month the name that the prophets gave to Jesus - He is Wonderful! The sense of wonder has departed the western church and has been replaced by dead legalism and churches that resemble business corporations more than the people who are not of this world living in the heavenly and wonderful dimension. I believe that this message will open up new horizons and expectancy in your Christian life.
I am finally able to announce that our new series for personal meditation and especially for small groups is now available. It is called “Fear Not!” consisting of one DVD and a study guide. I want to emphasize that this is not our usual hour long teaching but enough to open up your heart-mind and bring you to personally grasp the message under the tutelage of the Spirit. It is ideal for groups however big or small to guide the discussion and bring each one face to face with truth. This has taken so long to produce because we were learning the new format as we went through the production – our next one will be a lot faster. November/December 2017 – Partner Update
Dear Partners,
Through your gifts you and I together are loving people to life.
As I write this we are in the final preparation for the retreat. We are excited at the possibilities of our gathering together in Kerrville, TX. Be sure to order the CD’s that will be released soon. The subject will introduce you to a new dimension of living and praying that is life changing. One very exciting development in this retreat is that fifty percent of those coming have never been to one of our retreats or meetings before which means that will have some very hungry and ready to receive persons brought there by the Spirit to satisfy the cry of their hearts. You should know that your giving makes this retreat and all our outreaches possible therefore these people cry to the Lord was in part answered by your monthly giving! Your giving which makes it possible to broadcast this message in every way is the answer to someone’s prayer.
All of us here would like to take this opportunity to bless you in the holidays; may you have a joyous Christmas and a hope-filled New Year as you step into 2018 in the sure and certain hope of Christ in you the sum of all expectancy!
Because of all the distractions of these next few days, this will be the last partner message of 2017 and my next message will be in January.
My message this month asks the question concerning Jesus – who is He? That might sound a strange question to ask of you as you certainly have answered it with joy and worship already! But it is a question that goes to the heart of our being and in a sense we never stop asking and receiving the ever increasing answer from the Spirit our Teacher and Guide into all Truth. Let the Spirit minister to you in what I have to say.

October 2017 – Partner Update

Through your gifts you and I together are loving people to life.
My message this month deals with the forgotten dynamic of praise and thanksgiving. The Bible is full of praising people – not just saying praise words but entering in to the culture of the Trinity and the unlimited love-power that flows from that. We spend a lot of time asking for things that we should be using to be engaged in praise. This message could open areas of your life that will be transforming to your walk in Christ.
We are rapidly approaching our retreat the second weekend of December at the Inn of the Hills in Kerrville, Texas. If you are still planning to come you only have a few days before the special rate at the hotel closes. You must have registered by November 15th to have the retreat rate on your room.
Every year we have people at the retreat that cannot pay but have a great need to be there. Each year these are sponsored by partners who cannot be there themselves but pay for another to go instead. If the Spirit urges you to be one of these sponsors call our office and let us know that you want to be the grace of God in another’s life by paying for them to be there. Many have given such gifts and brought blessing and transformation to one in need.

September 2017 – Partner Update

Through your gifts you and I together are loving people to life.
I want you to listen very carefully to my message this month asking the Holy Spirit to open the eyes of your heart. I expect that you do this every time you listen but what I am sharing this month is so basic yet so revolutionary I know that many of you could enter into the rest of God as you listen. I deal with walking in life in the perfect peace and rest of God that is ours in Christ. We have done this before but this time the emphasis is on the how of that, examining the way of trusting in Him. I am excited to share this with you.
This coming weekend we are welcoming many students to Module Four of our Bible school. It is thrilling to see so many coming to a solid foundation in the message of His grace.

September has been a month of many challenges for all of us. The hurricane was centered just over forty miles from us but the winds spun away from us to Houston. Our prayers have been with all those both in Houston and Florida that have been affected. What many do not realize is that in days of crisis – and so many in September – many persons who would normally donate to this ministry help the hurricane victims instead. September has been a challenging month financially and we ask you to be sensitive to the Spirit if you are led to give extra.
Having said that let me celebrate your faithfulness as we approach the end of 2017. August 2017 – Partner Update

Through your gifts you and I together are loving people to life.
I am sharing a message with you this month that I believe will set your heart to give thanks and soar into worship. In this hour of sharing with you Partners I am plunging into the heart of God-love. Multitudes play on the shore of the vast ocean of His love with only a vague unfocussed idea of what that love means; when a crisis comes then their fragile belief in His love goes out of the window. “Faith works by love” – faith leaps into action at the realization of His limitless love toward us. I believe that this hour of teaching will bless you into new levels of knowing Him.
This is just a taste of what we will take the entire weekend to explore at the retreat in December and we will carry this knowing of our identity in the love of God to the question of prayer. If God loves us why do we need to pray? What is prayer – really? Is it trying to convince an unwilling God to give us something He would not give unless we nagged and whined to Him?! Of course not – but what is it? It is the wild adventure of discovering His love and joining with Him in applying that love to our lives and the lives of others. We will discover how that all works at the retreat the second weekend of December at the Inn of the Hills in Kerrville Texas. Now is the time to register! July 2017 – Partner Update

Through your gifts you and I together are loving people to life.
I am excited with the message I am sharing with you this month – on the blessing of God that is actively working in our lives every day and in all circumstances. Many of us have been brainwashed to believe that we are unworthy and live a life apart from that blessing. I pray that as you listen your ears and eyes will be opened to begin to live in unshakeable certainty that you are blessed and participating in that blessing everyday of your life.
Let me remind you of the annual retreat coming up the second weekend of December. I want to remind you that presently the cost of the retreat is discounted but that discount ends August 15th – and throughout September through November you will be paying full price. Now is the time to register! We are filling up early – we have registrations every day which is most unusual at this time of year – register before all seats are taken.
The subject is You are More Powerful than You Think dealing with our true identity in union with Christ. To many believers this is unknown and mysterious, but in this retreat I promise to make it so simple that all will understand and enter into who we truly are in this new covenant. At the core of this subject I deal with prayer in a way that I am sure you have never heard before. I have spent years researching what prayer really is and this retreat will take you to a boldness in prayer that is in line with the message of the love of God and union with Christ. You have to attend this retreat not only for the teaching but for the fellowship and sharing that arise in between the sessions and around the meal table. We pray for those who want the laying on of hands and we expect healing of your body and entrance into new dimensions of life in Christ. This month my message is very important and very challenging to those who are walking in this life of grace and partaking of the love of God. It deals with attitude to life that is the difference between living in joy of the Lord or the hopeless despair of the flesh. I believe that it will be a blessing to all of you.
Let me remind you of the retreat coming up in December, the subject is You are More Powerful than You Think and at its core deals with prayer in a way that I am sure you have never heard before. I have spent years researching what prayer really is and this retreat will take you to a boldness in prayer that is in line with the message of the love of God and union with Christ. Have you noticed that so much that is said about prayer is legalistic religion! Books on prayer usually make us feel guilt rather than bring us to the exhilarating freedom that is in Christ; much that we hear is trying to explain why God is not going to answer prayer or the impossible task of knowing His will!

May 2017 – Partner Update
Dear Partners,
Through your gifts you and I together are loving people to life.
Some have said that in my 79th year of life it is time to retire and from my rocking chair coast into heaven! That is not a thought I am capable of thinking! This is the year of new opportunity and going into areas of ministry that we have never touched before. And we are participating in this venture together; your gifts each month are financing this bold entrance into a generation that we have never attempted before.
We have had to rent the space in San Antonio to house our equipment and a place to produce the audio and video that we know will transform the lives of a multitude that have no concept of the love and grace of God. Thousands of Bible study groups, prayer groups meet in homes across the U.S. and Canada and in fact the entire English speaking world who have little or no direction or grounding in Bible teaching. There are Sunday school classes in many churches in the same plight not to mention individuals who seek a daily or weekly study and meditation in the truth. We have the opportunity of ministering to these searching believers via DVD and work books. We have set aside everything else and are giving ourselves to produce such material. This has put a heavy financial burden on us on a daily basis. Pray for the funds to be available and if the Spirit puts us on your heart for a special offering know that He is drawing you into this work that we are doing. Thank you to those who have already made special offerings.
My message this month is about Peter walking on the water in union with Jesus. This is applied to every part of the Christian life – we are a supernatural people – but we feel it has special application to us at this time in the ministry. We feel that we are walking on the water held by His invisible hands!

This may be early but I want to alert you that the Winter Retreat this year will be the second weekend of December (not the first weekend as in years past) and will be held at the Inn of the Hills in Kerrville, Texas December 8-10, 2017. The topic will be “You Are More Powerful Than You Think!” This will not be a rehash of old platitudes about prayer – but a bold understanding you have never heard before that will free you into a new realm of knowing yourself in Christ and praying in the boldness that is yours.

April 2017 – Partner Update
Dear Partners,
Through your gifts you and I together are loving people to life.
So much has happened since the last time I sat down to write to you in March. As we were developing the Bible course that I announced last month great doors of possibility and opportunity opened and we believed that it was the Spirit leading us to walk through and carry the Bible course to a new and exciting level.
There are thousands of Bible study groups, prayer groups that meet in homes across the U.S. and Canada and in fact the entire English speaking world who have little or no direction or grounded Bible teaching. There are Sunday school classes in many churches in the same plight not to mention individuals who seek a daily or weekly study and meditation in the truth. We have the opportunity of ministering to these searching believers via DVD and work books. We have set aside everything else and are giving ourselves to produce such material.
This will be a new style of teaching for me; someone has said that listening to me teach is like standing in front of a fire hydrant! This new series that we are now developing will be likened to sitting down and talking one on one with breaks to make sure you have fully grasped the truth and its implications.
To further give all our time to this we have cancelled the weekly webinars – though there will be some scattered through the weeks – and have given the San Antonio location over to studio and work on this new project.
This means that the Sunday morning fellowship now meets at the ranch in Bandera at 11 a.m.
One other important piece of information: the cost of shipping with UPS has gone very high and many of you may have chosen not to order our material because of it. My message this month teaches being still in the midst of a chaotic world to know God as He truly is in Christ in this moment.

March 2017 – Partner Update
Dear Partners,
Through your gifts you and I together are loving people to life.
We are excited to announce that in the early Spring – a few weeks – we will begin Bible courses that will be live streamed from San Antonio to your computer. They will take place on a Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. and the first will be an in depth study of Philippians.
These courses are open to all – although pastors and church leaders will be greatly helped by these studies they are primarily aimed at the believer living out this life in Christ in the home, the workplace and the school or college. We are not aiming at making full time leaders our goal is to mature all believers in living the Christian life to the full.
In our courses we do not merely address the mind but set out to speak to the heart, opening inner eyes and ears to hear the voice and teaching of the Holy Spirit. If you want to join this course that is the only commitment we ask – that you are ready to hear what the Spirit is saying to you and make that your way of life.
We will contact you with all the details as soon as we have a date. Please do not call the office asking for dates – you will be notified as soon as we are set to begin taking registrations.
This month we are graduating another class of the Bible School. These students have spent 120 hours with me learning the foundations of the faith and we give thanks to God for bringing these to graduation.
Our weekly webinars using our new camera and studio is being sent out to the world every week and there is great excitement. Increasingly people are coming together to watch and discuss and pray these messages.
The work or repairing the flood damage from last year continues at the ranch. Our bridge is now fixed and we can drive over the creek without fear of going into the creek! Thank you for your gifts that have made that possible.
We are continuing Sunday services at the San Antonio location and give thanks to God for the numbers of people that are coming to hear. If you are in San Antonio or find yourself there on business or vacation we meet every Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
