I am excited with the message I am sharing with you this month – on the blessing of God that is actively working in our lives every day and in all circumstances. Many of us have been brainwashed to believe that we are unworthy and live a life apart from that blessing. I pray that as you listen your ears and eyes will be opened to begin to live in unshakeable certainty that you are blessed and participating in that blessing everyday of your life.
Let me remind you of the annual retreat coming up the second weekend of December. I want to remind you that presently the cost of the retreat is discounted but that discount ends August 15th – and throughout September through November you will be paying full price. Now is the time to register! We are filling up early – we have registrations every day which is most unusual at this time of year – register before all seats are taken.
The subject is You are More Powerful than You Think dealing with our true identity in union with Christ. To many believers this is unknown and mysterious, but in this retreat I promise to make it so simple that all will understand and enter into who we truly are in this new covenant. At the core of this subject I deal with prayer in a way that I am sure you have never heard before. I have spent years researching what prayer really is and this retreat will take you to a boldness in prayer that is in line with the message of the love of God and union with Christ. You have to attend this retreat not only for the teaching but for the fellowship and sharing that arise in between the sessions and around the meal table. We pray for those who want the laying on of hands and we expect healing of your body and entrance into new dimensions of life in Christ. This month my message is very important and very challenging to those who are walking in this life of grace and partaking of the love of God. It deals with attitude to life that is the difference between living in joy of the Lord or the hopeless despair of the flesh. I believe that it will be a blessing to all of you.

Some have said that in my 79th year of life it is time to retire and from my rocking chair coast into heaven! That is not a thought I am capable of thinking! This is the year of new opportunity and going into areas of ministry that we have never touched before. And we are participating in this venture together; your gifts each month are financing this bold entrance into a generation that we have never attempted before.
We have had to rent the space in San Antonio to house our equipment and a place to produce the audio and video that we know will transform the lives of a multitude that have no concept of the love and grace of God. Thousands of Bible study groups, prayer groups meet in homes across the U.S. and Canada and in fact the entire English speaking world who have little or no direction or grounding in Bible teaching. There are Sunday school classes in many churches in the same plight not to mention individuals who seek a daily or weekly study and meditation in the truth. We have the opportunity of ministering to these searching believers via DVD and work books. We have set aside everything else and are giving ourselves to produce such material. This has put a heavy financial burden on us on a daily basis. Pray for the funds to be available and if the Spirit puts us on your heart for a special offering know that He is drawing you into this work that we are doing. Thank you to those who have already made special offerings.
My message this month is about Peter walking on the water in union with Jesus. This is applied to every part of the Christian life – we are a supernatural people – but we feel it has special application to us at this time in the ministry. We feel that we are walking on the water held by His invisible hands!

So much has happened since the last time I sat down to write to you in March. As we were developing the Bible course that I announced last month great doors of possibility and opportunity opened and we believed that it was the Spirit leading us to walk through and carry the Bible course to a new and exciting level.
There are thousands of Bible study groups, prayer groups that meet in homes across the U.S. and Canada and in fact the entire English speaking world who have little or no direction or grounded Bible teaching. There are Sunday school classes in many churches in the same plight not to mention individuals who seek a daily or weekly study and meditation in the truth. We have the opportunity of ministering to these searching believers via DVD and work books. We have set aside everything else and are giving ourselves to produce such material.
This will be a new style of teaching for me; someone has said that listening to me teach is like standing in front of a fire hydrant! This new series that we are now developing will be likened to sitting down and talking one on one with breaks to make sure you have fully grasped the truth and its implications.
To further give all our time to this we have cancelled the weekly webinars – though there will be some scattered through the weeks – and have given the San Antonio location over to studio and work on this new project.
This means that the Sunday morning fellowship now meets at the ranch in Bandera at 11 a.m.
One other important piece of information: the cost of shipping with UPS has gone very high and many of you may have chosen not to order our material because of it. My message this month teaches being still in the midst of a chaotic world to know God as He truly is in Christ in this moment.

We are excited to announce that in the early Spring – a few weeks – we will begin Bible courses that will be live streamed from San Antonio to your computer. They will take place on a Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. and the first will be an in depth study of Philippians.
These courses are open to all – although pastors and church leaders will be greatly helped by these studies they are primarily aimed at the believer living out this life in Christ in the home, the workplace and the school or college. We are not aiming at making full time leaders our goal is to mature all believers in living the Christian life to the full.
In our courses we do not merely address the mind but set out to speak to the heart, opening inner eyes and ears to hear the voice and teaching of the Holy Spirit. If you want to join this course that is the only commitment we ask – that you are ready to hear what the Spirit is saying to you and make that your way of life.
We will contact you with all the details as soon as we have a date. Please do not call the office asking for dates – you will be notified as soon as we are set to begin taking registrations.
This month we are graduating another class of the Bible School. These students have spent 120 hours with me learning the foundations of the faith and we give thanks to God for bringing these to graduation.
Our weekly webinars using our new camera and studio is being sent out to the world every week and there is great excitement. Increasingly people are coming together to watch and discuss and pray these messages.
The work or repairing the flood damage from last year continues at the ranch. Our bridge is now fixed and we can drive over the creek without fear of going into the creek! Thank you for your gifts that have made that possible.
We are continuing Sunday services at the San Antonio location and give thanks to God for the numbers of people that are coming to hear. If you are in San Antonio or find yourself there on business or vacation we meet every Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

I want to begin by thanking you for not forgetting us during these months when we have not sent out a partner communication; there are many ministries that would have financially failed without communication but you have shown that you give from your heart not because you are continually prodded to give! We have received your love offerings each month without fail and we rejoiced at your love in the Spirit. Thank you!
The last months have been consumed one way or another with preparing, building and installing a new studio for the cameras that were given to us for the work of communicating this message more effectively throughout the world. I was talking with John this morning and he assures me that we are going to be ready for testing within the week. When we will be ready to actually send out live pictures I do not know but it is now very close.
As I said the cameras were donated but from the renting of the studio to a multitude of expenses this is costing us to date in the region of $9,000. If the Spirit lays it on your heart to be part of this we thank you.

Meanwhile at the ranch in Bandera with the return of warmer weather we are beginning the rebuilding of the bridge into the property that was destroyed in the floods last year. It has become very dangerous and we will be glad when we can drive across the creek in safety. Thank you those who help with this project.

We are late communicating with you for the month of October because of the changes that have and are taking place here. As we reported some months ago we have been looking to San Antonio as a place of ministry – for all of you to find it easier to get to us and to have access to high quality internet for our events to be live streamed to the world. We have been amazed at the increase in audiences when we have the meetings in the city. In May we had the flood that did a lot of damage to the ranch and left mold in many places. In late September it became obvious that we had to move our Sunday meeting place and by the end of October the Lord had brought us to a place that is ideal for Sunday meeting and Bible schools that we can make available through the web.

We had our first service this last Sunday and will be meeting at 11:00 every Sunday morning.
The ranch has had a baby! We now have two places of ministry and you are going to discover what that means in the New Year. Thank you for your prayers throughout the year since we shared the direction we felt the Spirit would have us go. The setting up of the meeting place is expensive – and these last weeks have been challenging and as the Spirit urges you to give we thank you for your extra giving.

I will be sharing the very heart of the Scripture concerning God’s rest and our entering into and living daily in that rest. Guilt, shame, fear, anxiety and every form of negativity have no place in the life of the believer – we are called to rest in His rest. Fall is upon us and we thank every one of you who have so faithfully given throughout the summer months. We are preparing for our Bible school Module six in the next few days and then our retreat will be upon us.
Our annual Retreat is the first weekend of December as you know by now, and will be held in the Drury Inn in San Antonio as last year. Our subject is Resting in the Rest of God. The Scripture is filled with references to the rest of God and our privilege of finding our residency in that rest. Fear, anxiety and every form of negativity have no place in the life of the believer – we are called to rest in His rest. In this retreat we shall teach at a most practical level how we live actively at rest in every area of our lives and so live the abundant and joy-peace filled lives described in the New Testament. One of the greatest blessings of the retreat is to spend a weekend with like hearted believers all seeking to know more of the grace of God.
My message this month is talking of that rest as it is illustrated in the heart attitude of Caleb as he stood with Joshua against the entire nation of Israel insisting of finding their identity in God. I believe the meditation will enable you to live in the fullness of God to which you have been called.
Because of the flood earlier this year we have decided to conduct our Sunday services in San Antonio at least until the beginning of the next year. We will be meeting every Sunday at 1:30 pm at the Vineyard church (kindly loaned to us) which is at 7530 Bandera Rd #140 at the intersection of Bandera Road and Eckhert in N.W. San Antonio. Many who have not ventured out into the hills will be able to fellowship with us – and those of you in San Antonio for business or vacation will find it easier to join us. We look forward to seeing you there.

Dear Partners,

This letter and message covers the summer months of July and August as many including our staff have vacation time and all the summer activity that fill our summer days. We have had a challenging summer that began with the flood at the end of May and into June. We are now discovering where the water managed to seep into leaving mold behind. We have also had trouble with the roof of our office building that is leaking badly – the force of the storm seems to have collapsed parts of the roof structure. In it all we rejoice in the faithfulness of the Lord and thank you for your financial gifts.
One Scripture that has been with us in these months is Proverbs 3:5 – and we have delighted in it and discovered its revelation of the love of God. Out of these experiences I have shared my monthly message with you. We learn to acknowledge Him in all our ways – seeing and resting in Him who never leaves us but is not only our companion but our very life. Listen and let the Spirit grow you in this life of peace and joy.
We are getting close to our second module of our Bible School. This is our last call for those who plan to attend. We are dealing with the creation and specifically answering the question “Who is mankind – who am I?” and vital to understanding the remainder of the Scripture we ask what is the nature of sin. Until we know what sin is we cannot know what Jesus came to deliver us from! All those who were with us for module one are strongly encouraged to register. Those of you who took module 1 through the CD’s may sign up for this live event. If you are coming from out of town we ask you to book into the Wyndham Garden near La Cantera in San Antonio for your room as by your staying at the hotel the cost of the conference room is reduced.
